Hello. I’m Monica.

Growing up as a geologist’s daughter, I moved home and country every few years of my life. I grew to appreciate my mother’s ability to artfully arrange our possessions and make a home while understanding the albatross that having “stuff” could be.

From studying history of art to working as an artist and interior decorator, I’ve remained deeply interested in how humans process their environment and how light, colour, proportion, balance, texture and objects shape our experience and subtly inform our sense of self.

In 2007, I began focusing my interior decoration practice on something I did not see offered: holistic interior design. Rather than imposing a style, I would help clients problem-solve and rethink their spaces in alignment with their lifestyle, rhythms, and needs; often with no more than what they already owned.

In 2021, I completed Marie Kondo’s KonMari certification course. While I valued its clarity, the approach I bring to clients is more flexible and, I believe, realistic. Over the last five years, I have been deepening my fine art practice and have had ongoing study in energy awareness and healing practices. I’m returning to my holistic design work with a deep respect for the subtle energy that shapes how a home feels and functions.

I bring a calm, structured presence and judgment-free attentiveness to each personal space I’m invited into. I am in my element when helping others simplify, rebalance, and refine their spaces. I believe in the quiet power of environments to restore clarity, support growth, and transform how we feel within our own homes.

Ready? Let’s go.
